The Liebster Award.

Hello there Lost Kids! Today, I’m finally getting round to taking part in the Liebster Award challenge, which Emma kindly nominated me for! You can check her blog out here. For those of you that don’t know what the Liebster Award is then here’s a very brief description for you:

“The Liebster Award is an award presented to bloggers by other fellow bloggers, with the pure intention of supporting each other! As part of being nominated, you must answer the eleven questions given by the blogger who kindly nominated you. Then, in turn, nominate eleven more bloggers and leave eleven new questions for them to answer.”

So, I’m going to get straight into it and answer all the questions Emma set for me and the other blogging gals!

1. What’s the first book you remember reading?

The book I remember reading first would probably be Peter Pan. (I know, it’s an obvious answer for me, but it’s true). I’ve been obsessed with it for as long as I can remember and I genuinely love it even more every time I read the book again.

2. Who’s your favourite literary hero?

Oh Lord, that’s a tough one for me. I’ll have to go old school and say C.S Lewis. C.S. Lewis has a very pure and innocent way of writing and developing entire worlds a million miles away from reality. His journey, his style, his passion and his imagination will continue to leave me in awe every time I read Narnia or see the film adaptions.

3. If you could meet any fictional character, who would you meet and why?

Well, Castiel is my obvious choice right now. I mean, who wouldn’t want to meet that literal angel?! Castiel is my favourite character from Supernatural, and I just adore the pureness he has surrounding him. The loyalty and love he has for the Winchester brothers cripples my heart and I just want to hug him and squeeze his cheeks because he’s a baby.

4. What’s your dream job?

I’d love to be a presenter, either for a TV show or a radio show. I adore acting but I’ve been so out of it lately I don’t think I’d get any acting jobs haha! But I also truly love writing and being around people, so who knows? Becoming a journalist is definitely a dream destination for me, I’ll just pray for a break one day soon.

5. What’s your favourite book series?

Beautiful Creatures – Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. Hands down. I read the last book within 2-3 hours. I couldn’t wait to finish it, but I also wanted it to last forever because I just wasn’t ready to end the series. However, the Red Queen book series is slowly climbing it’s way to the top of the list.

6. If you could live anywhere, real or fictional place, where would you choose?

I’ve always said I’d love to live in New York City. I’d probably have a mental breakdown if I moved there right now, but that’s somewhere I’d really love to live in the future.

7. Do you have any hobbies?

Writing is my biggest hobby. I do it every single day and love the release it gives me. I used to write stories in my spare time, but now I run my blog and can’t imagine my life without it. I also love walking (does that even count as a hobby?). Walking the dog, walking in a park, walking in rural or historic areas… anywhere that’s beautiful and fun to be, you’ll find me walking there. Sometimes even reading there, but mostly walking.

8. What’s your favourite book genre?

I love a good thriller! Something that makes me think about what’s going to happen next, or trying to get me to figure out a good mystery. Those are the best! But, having said that, I’m partial to a cheesy romance every now and then!

9. Which book do you most want to be made into a film that hasn’t been done already?

I was thinking about this the other day! I’d love to see Michael Grant’s Gone series developed into their a film series or a TV show. It’s so exciting and even though it’s aimed at kids and young teens, I do believe everyone would enjoy seeing the action and how a modern twist on a Lord of The Flies scenario develops. It gets pretty dark, pretty intense, and definitely gory, but that’s part of the fun, right?!

10. Who’s your favourite author?

Just one author?! JUST ONE?! Impossible to answer with just one. So here are a few of my favourite authors: Rainbow Rowell, J.M Barrie, C.S Lewis, Michael Grant, Maureen Johnson, Agatha Christie and Becky Albertalli. Not to sound too mainstream, but I also love John Green and Chris Colfer.

11. What’s the biggest thing you’ve learned since you started blogging?

The biggest thing I’ve learnt since starting my blog has to be the fact that there’s so much more to the blogging world than anyone expects. You’ve got to consider so many different things for example, who your content is aimed for, when you’ll post it, how to get your blog noticed by readers etc. It’s not as simple as sitting as your computer and just writing down your thoughts and opinions on different products, shows, events and so on. You’ve got to really think about what you’re putting out there and if you were the reader, would you enjoy the content you’ve created. There’s so many little details to take care of that it’s so much more than just typing away at your computer and hoping someone might notice you and make you famous. I think we all wish that would happen, but a lot of us are happy just blogging because it’s fun and it gives us great opportunities and experiences we may never have expected to have otherwise.

Now you have my answers, this would be the part where I tag 11 bloggers! So here goes nothing…. I nominate:

If you’ve already done this challenge then please don’t feel like you have to do it again! The same goes for if you’d rather not take part. I just thought I’d include you guys as I really love your blogs and have done for a long time or I’ve recently found you guys and I’ve adored your blog! Without wasting anymore time, here are my questions;

1. If you could be an animal for one day, what would you be and why?

2. What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?

3. Would you rather read a book, or watch the film?

4. Best part thing about being a blogger?

5. Do you have any tips for anyone wanting to start a blog?

6. Who is your hero (or heroes) and why?

7. Who’s one of your favourite bloggers?

8. What’s been the best thing to happen to you this year?

9. What’s the story behind your blogs name?

10. If you could meet anyone, past, present (or future if you want to go that far), who would it be and why?

11. Do you keep a bullet journal/journal/diary? Why do/don’t you journal etc?

And there we have it! My answers to Emma’s questions, my nominees and questions all wrapped up in one! I hope you all enjoyed something a little bit different on here. Definitely be sure to check out everyone I’ve nominated for this challenge, including Emma’s blog! I’m sure you’ll love them all just as much as I do. So, until next time, have an awfully big adventure for me.
